History of the Parabis Group
Since its creation in 2002 the Parabis Group has grown from its core base in legal supply to develop a rapidly expanding portfolio of complementary services to the insurance, travel and related industries. The group continues to develop new business streams that fit its strategy to become an end-to-end service supplier to the insurance industry.
Key milestones in the development of the Group include:
Sep 2009: Plexus Law acquires Squire & Co.
Apr 2009: Parabis Law LLP consolidates its Cogent, Rymills and Laurus firms into a single claimant legal brand as Cogent Law.
Jan 2009: Brand Consolidation Programme announced: Single defendant and claimant brands (Plexus Law and Cogent Law) for Parabis Law LLP, Parabis Ltd: outsourced claims management and consultancy, Argent: professional services firms.
Nov 2007: Argent Rehabilitation formally launched following merger of RTW+ and Human Focus.
Jun 2007: Praxis Partners joins the Parabis Group.
May 2007: RTW Plus joins the Group and merges with Human Focus Return to Work.
Mar 2007: Plexus Law merges with the defendant division of Bott & Co to enhance service offering in the north of England.
Jan 2007: Plexus Law merges with GW Law.
Jun 2006: Argent Health and Safety formed and merges with Ron Wheal Associates.
Apr 2006: Human Focus Return to Work joins the Parabis Group.
Feb 2006: Parabis Law Partnership becomes a LLP.
Mar 2005: Parabis Limited is formed to provide expertise in claims management.
May 2004: Parabis Consulting formed to enhance the strategic focus of insurance companies.
May 2003: Argent Liability Adjusters formed
Sep 2003: Scion Management Ltd formed to provide support functions to the Group.
Sep 2002: The operating partnership of Parabis Law is formed comprising Plexus, Badhams and Rymills Law.
Nov 2001: Plexus Law is created following a takeover of Williams Davies Meltzer.
