Our Graduate Pathways

Our unique Pathways programme ensures that by following a competency based development programme and in house training graduates can progress their career different ways. We match individuals to our roles and offer three graduate pathways:

1    Trainee Technical Analyst
2    Trainee Team Coordinator
3    Trainee Solicitor

                             
An Overview of the Scheme:
Our Graduate Pathways

All graduates are initially enrolled on the one year Core Legal Training scheme. At the end of Year 1, subject to the cut off date for applications, each graduate, following discussion with their Team Manager, will be given an opportunity to express a preference for a particular stream, and take part in our two stage assessment process.

Stage 1 - Assessment of Work Performance

Stage 2 - Assessment Centre

  • Written exercise 
  • Technical Questions


Stage 3 - Interviews /Presentation


The final decisions will be made based on performance on the assessment centre interview together with the final rating from Stage 1. Stage 1 ratings will form at least 65% of the final decision. Whilst we will endeavour to offer graduates a place on one of the streams, the number of places available will be subject to both business need and the potential of each graduate and, therefore some graduates may be unsuccessful at this stage. Those who are unsuccessful will be given detailed feedback and a decision will be made as to whether the graduate is offered the opportunity to remain in the business in their current role and following a development programme reapply the following year.
